Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb: 2023-10-29
Note: Strong high speed stream characterized by an increase in speed at ACE from an already elevated 420 km/s to around 750 km/s alongside a temperature increase, and drop in density after a small increase. The magnetic field components at this time were already greatly elevated from CME arrivals on 2023-11-05, so it is unclear if an SIR further contributed to this elevation at this time and is under more analysis. Associated with a large S-shaped coronal hole whose center crossed the meridian on 2023-11-05, spanning approximately N10->S35 and E18->W18 at 2023-11-05T06:00Z. The more equatorial portion crossed the meridian earlier on 2023-11-04. DSCOVR observes the start of this event but the data becomes unreliable around 2023-11-06T15:58Z and the further speed increase is only observed at ACE.
